Super Mario Bros. 3's Plot Finally Figured Out?

I've always wondered what in Mama Luigi's name was going on in Super Mario Brothers 3 and now, it seems one NeoGAF citizen has come up with a solution; it was all staged. That's right, it's about as real as Super Mario Brothers 2's dreamworld. Check out the "evidence" to have your mind blown.

So, just how many of these Mario games didn't really happen? If they don't exist in reality and the events in SMB3 didn't really happen in unreality, does that mean they're actually real? Why does there seem to be some lapse in memory and reality in the Mario franchise?
