Looks like GameStop may have spilled the beans on Ubisoft's upcoming title, Red Steel 2. They have listed the game on their site with the release date of November 10th, 2009. Of course, this could just be a place holder, but we certainly are rooting for it to hit shelves before the year's end.
Title: Calling Launches: Spring 2010 Platforms: Wii Genre: Survival Horror
ESRB: RP Publisher: Hudson Entertainment, Inc. Developer: HUDSON SOFT
The Black Page Rumor has it that you will die if you visit the Black Page Website and see “something” in the site. Anyone can visit the site, but only a few can actually see things within the site. The site is literary all in black and just shows a counter. Some say the site is a hoax, a prank, or a marketing ploy. A few people say the site is a bridge to something sinister and the counter indicates the number of people who have died after seeing the site.
Main Characters Those who see something in the Black Page begin to stray somewhere between life and death. There are multiple characters who are present throughout the game. The Calling revolves around these characters and their fight for survival.
In-Between Space The spirits of the dead go to the space-between-space where the Calling revolves around. This place is made up by the memory of dead characters and various locations in the space such as houses, schools and hospitals etc. Someone or something is drawing the living to this space for a reason that becomes apparently horrifying once the characters discover the truth.
Features Traditional Survival Horror: No rocket launchers, no chain saws, no suits of armor. Calling is a story that revolves around real people in their fight for survival.
Intuitive controls designed for the Wii to navigate characters throughout the world.
Equipment: Flash lights, note pads, radios, etc. that you can use to escape the Calling
Wanting to see more Meat Boy? Well, he and his game will be hamming it up at PAX this year! Those of you looking to attend the Seattle-based event in September will likely be able to spot their booth (it'll probably be the one made out of meat, but that's just assuming) if they want to get some hands-on time with the title!
"NL: Can you give us an update as far as where you are development-wise on Super Meat Boy? Still on schedule to finish before the end of the year?
Edmund: We will be showing a playable demo of Super Meat Boy at PAX. We are still early in development because getting the foundation finished takes a bit of time, but you will start to see lots of gameplay footage by early September."
In addition, the devs behind the game, Team Meat's Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes, took the time to make known all the peripherals and add-ons that they've incorporated into the game. Take a gander below to find out what you'll need to have the most genuine "Meat Boy experience" you can!
"NL: What controllers will be supported in the game?
Tommy: All you're gunna need is your trusty Wiimote, 3 Balance Boards, a Power Glove, a Virtual Boy headset, R.O.B., Project Natal, and a picture of Abe Vigoda's left ball to get the real Meatboy experience."
Has anyone else been dogged by the extreme amounts of glitches The Conduit has online? Just tonight I had to unplug my Wii from the wall just to turn it off after snagging on one of the bugs. No, that's definitely not good for my system, let alone the thousands of others experiencing the same difficulties. Well, good news does appear to be on the horizon. High Voltage Software has heard the complaints from dozens of disgruntled gamers and is looking to fix the problems.
"We have received a few emails from fans regarding multiplayer snags and I assure we’re working hard to fix those issues. It’s difficult to address “glitches” post-release, but we’re working closely with Nintendo to come up with potential solutions.”- Jaramiah Severns, Associate Producer
Well, looks like High Voltage really is looking out for the hardcore Wii gamers. They could just say "screw it" and run off, money bags in tow. Hopefully, Nintendo will allow them to distribute patches via the Shop Channel (or otherwise) so more people can enjoy a bug-free online mode without too much hassle.
Before they Go Home, the Rabbids have decided to try their hands (or... paws) at fighting the meanest, greenest ninjas this side of the pizza parlor. In Ubisoft's upcoming fighter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up, the rabbids make cameo appearances as additional characters. In the video below, you can see some of the moves you'll be able to pull off in-game. However, the person playing as the one dressed as Sam Fisher seems to have had a hard time controlling it. Nevertheless, for those who were hoping to see a rabbid in Super Smash Brothers: Brawl can find solace on the turtles' shoulders!

Anyone who's played Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and wondered what the first two of the series would've been on the Wii should be licking their chops right about now. Metroid Prime: Trilogy will be coming in a collector's tin, a sweet bonus that's bound to please. Not only that, but Gamestop is offering an exclusive t-shirt for pre-ordering the game on top of that!
Gaijin Games recently updated their site with a picture, hinting to BIT.TRIP CORE's release date. From our hours of exhausting investigation, we've deduced it to be July 6th, 2009.Yes, such a daunting clue was formidable, but the brilliant minds here at TWG had no problem deciphering this dousey. Now if we could just figure out why a square peg won't fit in a round hole, we should be OK...
The game may only be the second title in a small series, but it feels like the 100th... Oh wait, that's because it will be! CommanderVideo will rock the Wii's red carpet knowing he stars in the 100th WiiWare title released on Nintendo's downloadable game service. Strut that stuff, el capitano. We know you want to do a little turn on the catwalk...
In the latest issue of Nintendo Power Magazine, Suda 51 had the chance to lob off quite the nugget of info into readers' laps. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will feature a robust cast of characters, managing to squeeze as many as 50 boss battles. Travis Touchdown won't be trudging this one alone either; Shinobu, a returning assassin from the original game, will be playable as well with an entirely different style of play to boot.
But wait! That's not all!
Shinobu playable, she is much faster than Travis and can jump.
Her playing style will be completely different from Travis’
Will be 50 boss battles
By allowing you to play as different characters Suda will be able to have more surprises in game.
Can’t play as Sinobu at any time you want though
Travis starts at rank 51, but lower ranked opponents will challenge him as well and sometimes they won’t be alone. Some will actually team up against Travis.
Travis will have new abilities including new pro wrestling style finishing moves.
Use of the environment for certain moves is something the developers are looking into adding.
Only a day into The Conduit's shelf life and already a glitch has been found in High Voltage Software's hardcore title. While calibrating the sensor bar in-game, YouTube citizen prevolition noticed that, ironically, his All-Seeing Eye was anything but visible. On top of that, the entire HUD display was stuck on the lowest occupancy level. Thus, he was unable to readjust the setting. Finally, not long into the video, prevolition falls into the wall and is unable to get back out.
Adobe Flash Player not installed or older than 9.0.115!
If today marks the titles launch and already gltiches are being found, how is this game's reputation going to pan out? It has definitely preceded it, at least in this one case. Hopefully, The Conduit won't turn out to be the next Red Steel - a game whose inflated credentials were as massive as the list of errors and snags holding back the game.
The Wii items in the pictures below may be black and blue, but the fanboys deep inside us are green with envy. Pictures of a couple colorful Nintendo products have made their way to the internet today. A black Wii, stocked with same-pigmented accessories, as well as a blue Wii Remote, MotionPlus, and Nunchuck, were seen recently, set up for display in Japan. The Big-N will be sending the new black Wiis to Japanese retail this summer, alongside the massive Monster Hunter 3 bundle. The blue remote seen below is said to be a Japanese Club Nintendo prize only as of now, so don't expect to see it up for grabs any time soon.
As you can see, the Monster Hunter 3 bundle will come with a black Wii, Remote, Nunchuck, Classic Controller and attachment, as well as the game itself. Also, I may be mistaken on this, but is this the first true bundle of the Wii? Sure, I've seen retailers slap the Wii together with a few games during the holidays, but I don't recall seeing Nintendo packaging in a third party game straight out of the box before.
