Steel and Titanium is the new DLC from Guerilla/Sony for Killzone 2's multiplayer. You get two maps and up to 12 new trophies in the update. For those that like a variety of Gameplay styles, the new content is sure to please.

The S&T DLC weighs in at a paltry 144MB. It should only take a few minutes do download on an average connection and is installed manually. Keep in mind that if you haven’t played Killzone 2 in a few weeks, the disc operation will prompt you for a version update, which is necessary whether you buy the new maps or not. This takes only seconds so by the time I looked up from my soda pouring and other pre-game practices, the update was already installed, Visari pontificating in his usual demagogue manner. This pack will cost you six American dollars, which I have been told by my foreign homies is worth about 1/1000th of a euro at this point. Still, three bucks give or take is pretty average for a single map in most DLC, so this is par for the genre.

Metal Gear Online: SCENE Expansion

Metal Gear Online is a strange beast, as is anything MGS.  Konami’s flagship online version of Mr. Kojima’s world is not as ubiquitous as its big MGS4 brother.  It seems completely polarizing, as most people who experience MGO seem to either love it or hate it.  A slower, more tactical game with a somewhat steep learning curve, it is essentially the move set from Metal Gear Solid 4, used in online matches between 2-16 players.  The SCENE expansion DLC follows that aesthetic and, like the MGO team’s other efforts, there’s a lot of value in the content; if you can ignore technical setup annoyances, which can mar the overall excitement of getting some new DLC.

Killzone 2 Review

Killzone 2 has been in the making for five long years, was it worth the wait?

Waiting can be an excruciatingly painful process, just ask about any diehard Sony fan.  Killzone 2 has been hyped for five years.  Each year the anticipation growing and the Sony fanboys telling all of their friends about it’s superb graphics and undeniably fun gameplay, while their friends sit on the couch playing Gears of War andHalo thinking no game could ever compare.  But, after 5 years of development, does Killzone 2 deliver?

Resident Evil 5 Review

Four years ago Leon Kennedy burst onto our screens in what would come to define the survival horror genre. Resident Evil 4 blended classic Resi frights and puzzles with modern day action orientated controls. The result was possibly the best entry in Capcom’s illustrious series.

Now, after years of anticipation fraught with speculation, the sequel to the critically acclaimed game has arrived. Resident Evil 5 once again puts players in the shoes of Chris Redfield, except this time they’ll find the experience incredibly different from his first outing. Those who remember the roots of the series in the original Resident Evil will find Capcom’s latest entry to be an entirely different game, gone is the eerie tension, gone are the challenging puzzles, and gone is its claim to the survival horror genre.
