First of all, I would like to thank Alex Neuse and Edmund McMillen for this great interview. This interview is hilarious, informative and with exclusive announcements.  Enjoy Meat Boy vs CommanderVideo, first time. Other than that, here is everything you need to know about Super Meat Boy and Bit Trip CORE and much more... Enjoy!

TWGNews (Me) - Thank you guys for being here. Why don't you guys introduce yourselves, the company and the game and what you do?

Alex Neuse - My name is Alex Neuse, and I'm the Designer at Gaijin Games.  We've made the BIT.TRIP games and no matter what Edmund says, I'm way more athletic and witty than he is.

Edmund McMillen - ... I work with many [companies] so I don’t usually have a company name, though I did Gish and doing Gish 2 and No Quarter under the name Cryptic sea. I made other lame flash games that people [complain] about on the internets.

Alex Neuse - But that are really cool. Edmund's games are awesome, even if people complain about them.

Edmund McMillen - Cool is such a relative word, I’d call my flash games "the best."

TWGNews - But not better than Bit Trip, right Alex?

Alex Neuse - Well... I couldn't have made BIT.TRIP without Edmund's tireless support.

Edmund McMillen - Yeah, I was over there for at least 20 minutes telling him.. man you should totally make this game harder.

Alex Neuse - Once he realized that the door was unlocked, he bolted.

Edmund McMillen - Your being a pussy Alex... HARDER!!!

[Next 10 minutes are censored due to explicit language and topic...]

TWGNews - Oh, so Edmund is the reason why Bit Trip Beat is so freaking hard?

Alex Neuse - No, actually it's because I hate the world and this is my way of taking it out on everyone. Especially Edmund.

TWGNews - How did you guys meet?

Edmund McMillen -  I met Alex when he worked at santa cruz games.

Alex Neuse - Well, technically, that's true. Edmund and I first crossed paths while I was working as Creative Director at Santa Cruz Games... But I like to think that we met previously in another life where we made games together and made flowers bloom planet wide and solved all the universe's problems.

TWGNews - Did you guys worked in a game together?

Alex Neuse - We almost worked on a game together, but it didn't end up happening.

TWGNews - What game was that?

Edmund McMillen - Gish.

Alex Neuse - Yeah, we nearly worked on Gish for the PSP.

Edmund McMillen - Basically we were looking for a company to help us port Gish to the PSP.

Alex Neuse - And it would have been SO awesome.

Edmund McMillen - We had a publisher but no time to do it. Working with Alex went smooth but we ran into a problem with the head of SC games. Things got weird, Alex tried to save the day but we ended up pulling out of the deal.

Alex Neuse - Sadly. Edmund and I (I think) would love to collaborate someday.

Edmund McMillen - You know I’m always down with working on a game with you. I mean I’ve got like 8 going now what’s another one? Its like a credit card debt, once you’ve hit like 20k... What’s another 3k?

Alex Neuse - I can't even keep one straight.

TWGNews - Let’s jump to another question... How would you guys compare Super Meat Boy and Bit Trip Core? Which is better? Better yet, if CommanderVideo and Meat Boy were in Super Smash Brothers who would win and why?

Alex Neuse - Holy... Well, Meat Boy seems WAY more dexterous than CV.  But CV I think would take a tactical approach, so that might give him the upper hand.

Edmund McMillen - Well, Meat Boy never actually dies though... Can Commander Video die? Like Meat Boy can’t totally die

Alex Neuse - CommanderVideo can die. Well, I guess that answers it. Are you happy, Edmund!?  ARE YOU HAPPY!?

Edmund McMillen - No.

Alex Neuse - Seriously, though.  Comparing the two games might be more like comparing apples to oranges.

Edmund McMillen - Or apples and sports cars.

Alex Neuse - Why'd I have to choose apples?

Edmund McMillen - OWNED!!!

Alex Neuse - I think that neither is probably better than the other, but each excels for very unique reasons. This is coming from a doofus who hasn't yet played Super Meat Boy, so take it with a grain of salt... Although I will say that there are at least 2 design suggestions that Edmund made about CORE that made it into the final product.

TWGNews - Which ones?

Edmund McMillen - Make it more awesome? Because that was my best suggestion.

Alex Neuse - 1. Make it more awesome.

TWGNews -  And harder?

Alex Neuse - 2. Make it insanely difficult.

TWGNews - Thanks Edmund...

Alex Neuse - No, seriously, the map and the bomb.

TWGNews - What’s the bomb?

Alex Neuse - The bomb is a one-time use feature that the player can use to regain focus after being overwhelmed. You can only use it once per level.
