Here are the new releases on the Nintendo Shop Channels for this week. We get six downloads this time, and I say downloads instead of games, because the DSiWare offerings are just a couple of apps again. So lets start off with WiiWare, because for whatever reason, we're getting three games this week. I can't remember the last time WiiWare got three games in one week. First up we have another indie gem in Eduardo the Samurai Toaster from Semnat Studios for only 800 Points, and we get Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure! from Taito for 800 Points as well. We also get Let's CATCH from Sega for 1000 Points. On the Virtual Console we get nothing, because we finally get the return of the Virtual Console Arcade in Space Harrier from Sega for 800 Points.
Its NPD time once again and of course Nintendo is still on top, but not by much when it comes to the Wii. Sure its well over 100,000 units ahead of the 360, but the gap has gotten smaller over the past three months. If it gets any smaller we could see the Wii and 360 selling neck, and neck next month. Sales are down for pretty much every system as the industry fell 23 percent in May, but the Wii and DS combined to sell almost one million units, which is still way more than every other system combined. On the software side of things both the DS and Wii had a good month, as the two systems hold six of the top 10 spots for the month of May. Only one of them was for the DS though, which is odd, considering how many DS's sold last month.
Here are the new releases on the Nintendo Shop Channels for this week. We get four games again this week, so lets start off with DSiWare. Nintendo has arguably brought out the biggest DSiWare game to date in Mario Vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! for 800 Points. On WiiWare we get two games again this week, and one is the next big indie game to hit the service in Swords & Soldiers from Ronimo Games for 1000 Points, and we also get Fish’em All! from Abylight for only 800 Points.
